The FPAC Exam
The Certified Corporate FP&A Professional exam is a two-part comprehensive computer-based exam consisting of multiple choice and spreadsheet-based questions. Part I of the exam tests your knowledge of business acumen, while Part II will test your ability to apply that acumen to real-world scenarios. Both the exam and FPAC Exam Prep Platform took five years to develop, with contributions from corporate finance volunteers from around the world.

About the FPAC Exam
The FPAC exam continually evolves to reflect the changing responsibilities of today's FP&A professionals. The exam is developed following certification industry standards with practitioner subject matter experts and professional testing experts to ensure psychometric soundness and legal defensibility. Exam content is based on a comprehensive job task analysis that identifies and validates the performance domains, knowledge, and skills necessary for financial planning and analysis professionals.
An AFP Certified Corporate FP&A Professional provides insights for strategic decision making through analysis, financial projections (planning, budgeting and forecasting), and reporting. The FPAC exam validates that candidates understand the entire decision support process and can perform these functions accurately and efficiently while adapting to changes in the business environment.
Part I tests foundational knowledge across three domains: Concepts of Business and Finance, Systems and Technology, and Business Partnering. Part II evaluates the ability to apply this knowledge through Analysis and Projections, Models and Analytics, and Business Communication.
